Resident Evil Sequel?

In July of 2005, the producers openly discussed the possibility of following this sequel with a fourth film, with the announcement of plans to shoot the film in Tokyo. In an article published in 2006, details were revealed the film would take place in Tokyo, Japan and that Alice would be returning. In September 2006, it was announced that casting began for Resident Evil 4, and that Jensen Ackles was in talks for portraying Leon Kennedy.

While promoting the film, Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter mentioned a possibility that if the movie performed well at the box office, a spin-off film could be made relating to Claire Redfield and the other survivors. Larter also confirmed she would reprise the role "100% if asked". Oded Fehr also jokingly mentioned if his character was to return for a new film, he would have to be cloned like Alice's character in Apocalypse and Extinction.Despite Resident Evil: Extinction being billed on the official website and elsewhere as the final installment of the Resident Evil film series, Rory Bruer, Sony's head of distribution explained, "It absolutely would not surprise me considering the success of the franchise that they find a way to come up with another. It's a real possibility."

I'm really happy with this news and I hope that they still make this franchise to satisfy all Resident Evil Fans out there
